Hard Dance is the generic name to refer to all genres of electronic dance music. Under this denomination, they included genres like Hard House, Hard NRG, Hard Trance, Hard Techno, Hardstyle, Hard bass and Hardcore. The songs of these genres usually typically range from 150 to 230 BPM and consist of a 4×4 rhythm. It is common to be associated with other genres of music rave, such as psytrance. However, this is a matter of opinion. The hard dance is a typical movement of underground music. On its origin, Hard House began in the UK in the 1990s, with artists like Tony De Vit. Hard NRG also a British movement, and is a direct offshoot of hard House. Usually harder and darker than the hard house, but the same style. The hard trance and hardstyle, however, originate from low European funds, with artists like Kamui and DJ Isaac. In some cases the lines that define between these genres is very blurred, however, there are some simple differences. The hard trance has more repetitive bass lines, and is more melodic in relation to Hardstyle, but is more than the mainstream trance. Since early 2008, hard dance has seen a resurgence in popularity after several years, which had largely fallen out of favour of the mainstream of the community of electronic dance music. This was especially noticeable in the UK, where he has won broad support from BBC Radio 1.
