ED808 is a veteran electronic music producer and bass music extraordinaire based in the heart of Carson, CA. Molded by the underground in its purest form, Edson Vizcarra began his journey by attending numerous warehouse parties in the early 90’s. These raw yet entirely organic environments cemented his passion for the music. Following his fixation for bass from Gabber to Techno to Hardcore, it wasn’t until 1996 when he received his first proper introduction to jungle music. Immediately falling in love with the legendary amen break, Ed808 was enthralled.

The realization soon occurred that his dedication to the music would soon translate into his own productions. His musical influences include Producer Social attendees, BC Rydah, DJ Meanstreak, James Clark(Firewater), Ryan Sweeten(Heavenly Father/Demon Cleaner), but most importantly Raoul Gonzalez aka 6Blocc aka R.A.W. With firmly-planted visions and years of creative energy supplementing his motivations, ED808 decided to apply for Icon Collective Production School, one of the most prestigious production schools in the world. Championing artists such as Jauz, Protohype and NGHTMRE, the sky was the limit for ED808 with his newly-acquired abilities.

With a creative mind and a heart full of aspirations, Ed808 now has a diverse discography of personal productions and collaborations ranging from dubstep, 140 breakbeat, future jungle, drum and bass (halftime and minimal) amenizm. He’s played various live performances spanning from Funktion 1 to underground sound systems, but treats every event the same: As professionally as possible. Equipped with APC40, a Korg KP3 and a laptop, expect nothing but one of bass music’s finest pioneers when booking ED808.
